Many government publication are now required to meet the AA ratings of the WCAG guidelines, relating to accessibility and usability of online content for the handicapped. Below is an example of a government publication Realview create, Scan, which we have helped to meet the AA ratings of the WCAG guidelines. The PDF is designed and created by our in house graphic designer, so we are well across creating PDF’s that meet these guidelines. On the link below you will see the landing page we created where users can select the Realview digital edition, or the PDF version which meets the accessibility guidelines for adaptive technologies. From there you can see the actual publication and PDF version:

To ensure all colours pass the accessibility test we have to put them through the colour analyser tool from Vision Australia: http://www.visionaustralia.org.au/info.aspx?page=628 and WebAIM

We also have to adhere to WCAG2.0 guidelines:

We also need to do a pdf with alt text on all images and videos that is uploaded to the download pdf button.
